Yikes!

Maybe I missed it, were you raised in a black family? Interracial?

I have a friend who has a mother whose skin was much lighter than hers and she suffered from a sense of inferiority for years.

Interesting that you not only associated darker skin with being less attractive, but also with other negative attributes, such as anger and unhappiness.
