What’s crazy is that you may have never remembered “Gloria” by Laura Branigan again if I hadn’t reminded you.
And yet, now that I have, you’re all like, “Of course!”
Every now and then, I’ll be walking along, minding my own business when a song that I haven’t heard in years will pop into my head. And I’ll think to myself, “Man, that song was everywhere! Why don’t I ever hear it anymore, ever?”
But then I’ll remember that there are like a kajillion songs out there. Radio (what’s left of it) plays the 20 current songs over and over and the same 100 “classic” songs.
And you’ve gotta admit that Gloria isn’t going to make either of those cuts.
