My wife is a liberal Christian and I am a nonbeliever that grew up as a fundamentalist Christian. When my 11-year-old son asks religious questions, I usually direct him to his mother.

I think we both figure he can make up his own mind. I figure that, worst-case scenario, he ends up his mother’s kind of Christian.

And I can live with that.
